Cloud bread. A great way to get your protein in, and it makes you feel like you are “cheating” even though this recipe is low calorie and has almost no carbs in it!
You will need:
•A dash of baking powder
•1/2 cup of plain Greek yogurt
•1/2 scoop of any flavor of protein powder. I use dymatize iso 100 banana
To get started, pre heat the oven to 400°
Separate the egg yolks and whites. Add the baking powder to the egg whites and beat them until they are fluffy (about 2 minutes on high) and set them aside.
Next, combine egg yolks, Greek yogurt, and protein powder in a small bowl. Mix together with a spoon/spatula.
Now, add the whipped egg white mixture to the egg yolk mixture and stir them together until creamy.
All that is left to do is to put it in a greased pan (or cookie sheet) and let it cook!
It can take between 15-25 minutes, depending on the pan you use. I did one batch in a bread pan and it took 25. I made another batch of small “pancake style” loafs on a cookie sheet and it only took 12 minutes. Basically, it’s done when the top is golden brown.
Feel free to add a little cinnamon or vanilla to spice up the flavor. Depending on the protein powder you use, you can make quite a few tasty combinations!
If you follow my recipe, the whole batch has about 300 calories, with roughly 35 grams of protein, 10 grams of fat, and 5 carbs.
